Arrive about 10 minutes early, grab an apron, and meet your instructor. No experience needed — most guests are first-timers.
Throw on the wheel or hand-build with clay in a small group. There's unlimited clay, so you can mess up and start over as many times as you like.
Leave your piece with us to fire (and glaze, where included). We'll email you when it's ready — usually 3-4 weeks for wheel work, about 2 weeks for paint-only pieces.
On the wheel you'll throw classic forms like mugs, bowls, cups, and small vases. Prefer to skip the wheel? Hand building lets you sculpt the same pieces — plus dishes, planters, and trinket trays — using pinch-pot, slab, and coil techniques. Your instructor can also help you personalize your work with details like a mug handle, surface decoration, or holes for a berry bowl, depending on the piece you make.
Every piece is fired in our kiln. Our Hand Building Class and Pottery & Painting Workshop include same-day painting and glazing, so you'll take home a finished, food-safe mug or bowl you can actually drink and eat from. The Pottery Workshop includes bisque firing, with clear glaze or painting and glazing available as optional finishes.
